This 5-star boutique guest house built in 1850 has a beautiful garden, lovely rooms and free parking. It is walking distance from Cheltenham town centre and fashionable Montpellier. Local shops and excellent restaurants are a 5-minute walk away. Bedrooms are beautifully designed and have free internet access. An evening meal room service is available from Monday to Thursday, between 17:30 and 20:00. At Beaumont House, service is friendly and efficient, and there is a lounge with a Trust Bar and free cappuccinos. Beaumont House has five stars from the AA, a Highly Commended award, and five stars and a Gold Award from Enjoy England. Conde Nast Johansens has included Beaumont House in their Recommended Small Hotels Guide 2009.
We offer a range of accommodation from our very affordable standard rooms with shower to luxury rooms with whirlpool baths; two of which are themed Out of Africa and Out of Asia. The current owners, Fan and Alan Bishop purchased Beaumont House in September 2004 and undertook extensive renovations and improvements. It is now run as a comfortable boutique style establishment. Please be advised that we follow a no smoking policy. PLEASE ALSO NOTE BOTH STANDARD AND SPECIAL TERMS:STANDARD: For reservations made using a debit or switch card, the first night of accommodation will be charged three days prior to arrival. Should the room then be cancelled 48 hours before arrival, a full refund will be given. For rooms cancelled within 48 hours, the first night accommodation will be charged. SPECIAL: At certain times of the year different payment and cancellation terms are applied. For example, Cheltenham Gold Cup in March and the November Open Race meeting when full payment is taken at the time of booking and no refunds are given. The hotel is situated on the a46 Shurdington Road, which is the extension of Bath Road. From Oxford on the a40, look for the sign of the a46 Stroud & Shurdington. At the roundabout in Bath Road, take the right hand road at the Norwood Arms Pub. The hotel is 200 yards on the left after the pub, before the traffic lights. From the m5, take exit 11 and follow signs to Cheltenham. At the first roundabout (Golden Valley) exit roundabout at 2 o'clock towards Shurdington. Go over several little roundabouts, always following the signs to Shurdington. Ignore all signs for Cheltenham. Eventually on a straight road, you will go past Morrisons supermarket on your left. On the next T- junction/roundabout follow the sign to Cheltenham. After one mile, and passing through pedestrian lights, you will reach traffic lights at a crossroad junction, go straight over and the hotel is the fourth property on your right.

Out of Africa

This premier room is designed for a memorable stay. It is a large room furnished in an African style. The bed (6 square feet) is made out of railway sleepers from the East African Railway. <BR><BR>Relax on a comfortable sofa and enjoy watching TV on the large wall-mounted LCD screen.<BR><BR>This room is situated on the first floor at the back of the hotel, with views over the garden and towards the distant hills.

Out of Asia

This is a premier room furnished with an Asian flavour for a memorable stay. The double bed [5 feet wide] was made in Korea. Other furniture also comes from the Far East. <BR><BR>Relax and enjoy watching TV on the large wall-mounted LCD monitor.<BR><BR>The Asia room is situated on the first floor at the front of the hotel, with views over rooftops, towards the town and distant hills.

Double En Suite with Bath

These rooms are located on the 2nd floor. The rooms are furnished in a contemporary style with top quality 5-foot wide Hypnos beds. They are equipped with power showers over the bath. The bathrooms of some rooms have sloping ceilings, limiting head height. <BR><BR>All bedrooms have wall mounted LCD TVs with Sky Sports as well as Freeview and radio channels.

Large Double/ Twin En Suite with Bath

These rooms feature luxury Hypnos-brand twin beds that can be joined together to make a super king-size bed that is 6 feet (183 metres) in width. The rooms also have a Hypnos sofa bed, which can accommodate an extra guest at an additional cost. Please see the Children and Extra Beds section for further details and additional costs. This additional cost will not be detailed on your booking confirmation, but will be charged at Beaumont House. Please note in the comments field when making your reservation whether the room should be prepared for more than 2 guests and if you would prefer the main bed made up us a twin (2 single beds) or as one large double bed. <BR><BR>The rooms are situated on the hotel’s second floor and each one has a wall-mounted LCD TV with Freeview and Sky Sports channels. <BR><BR>One room has views of the side garden, and the other has views of the back garden and far views of Leckhampton Hill.

Double En Suite with Shower

These rooms are located on the lower ground floor and either face the side or back of Beaumont House, overlooking the side garden and car park or back garden. <BR><BR>The rooms are furnished with standard double Hypnos beds (4 feet, 6 inches wide).

Single En Suite with Shower

This single room is situated on the lower ground floor facing the car park. The room is double-glazed and has a wall mounted large screen LCD TV with Sky Sports and Freeview channels.

Large Luxury Double/Twin/Family Room

The quoted price is based on 2 guests; however the family room can accommodate up to 4 guests. The third and fourth guest are accommodated at an additional cost. Please see the Children and Extra Beds section for further details and additional costs. This additional cost will not be detailed on your booking confirmation, but will be charged at Beaumont House. Please note in the comments field when making your reservation whether the room should be prepared for more than 2 guests and if you would prefer the main bed made up us a twin (2 single beds) or as one large double bed. <BR><BR>The room faces the back of Beaumont House overlooking the garden and the distant hills. It has a large wall-mounted LCD television with Freeview and Sky Sports channels.

Small Double Ensuite with Shower

This room is located on the lower ground floor and faces the side of Beaumont House, overlooking the side garden and the car park. This room is smaller than an en suite double room with shower, but this is reflected in a lower price for 2 guests. <BR><BR>The room has a standard-size Hypnos double bed that is 4 feet 6 inches (1.37 metres) in width.

Luxury Single En Suite with Bath and Kitchenette

This room, which forms part of the Prestbury Suite [but can be booked separately], is situated on the first floor of Beaumont House, with views of the side garden. The bedroom contains a full-size single bed, which can be dressed as a sofa. The en suite has a small (1500 mm) P-shaped bath with overhead power shower.<BR><BR>The flat screen LCD TV has Sky Sports and free-to-air channels.

Luxury Double/Twin En Suite with Whirlpool

A very special room that can accommodate up to 3 guests. This room forms part of the Prestbury Suite, or can be booked separately. The third guest can be accommodated on a top quality Hypnos brand sofa bed. The rate quoted is for 2 guests. An additional charge for third guest. Please note in the guest comments section when booking, whether we should prepare the room for more than 2 guests, and if you would prefer the main bed made up us a twin (2 single beds) or one large double. When accommodating 3 guests, it is better to leave the main bed as a large double to maximise floor space. <BR><BR>The room is situated at the front of the hotel with views of the Cheltenham skyline. The room is equipped with a large-screen, wall-mounted LCD TV [(Sky Sports available). Besides, the bathroom has a 17-inch TV built into the wall at the foot of the bath.
